She also underscores that someone need not be a CEO, executive direc- tor, investor or board member to sign the pledge, but that anyone who feels strongly about the issue is welcome to do so. "All of us have the power and the goodwill" to take a stand against sexual harassment, she adds. Usefool tools for small nonprofi ts Megan D. Hannon, executive direc- tor of the Maine Women's Fund (www.mainewomensfund.org), said that signing the pledge was a no- brainer, in part because the fund prides itself on being a feminist and action leader and because some of its grantees were involved in setting up MaineCanDo. As an organization with just two staff ers including herself, she also fi nds the online tools useful. "Having worked at organizations large and small, " she says, "I know there are diff erent levels of compe- tence and comfort with dealing with [human resources] issues, especially sexual harassment, so the more guid- ance available, the better." Her own organization, she notes, has had a good policy in place for years and didn't feel the need to make changes.
