SERVICE LOCATION(S) Waban's comprehensive service network extends throughout Southern Maine and includes early intervention services for preschool through 2nd grade children with autism and other intellectual/developmen- tal disabilities through the Fraser-Ford Child Development Center; Children's and Adult Case Management Services; Adult Day Habilitation and Employment Services; Adult Residential Services; Social Enterprises, including the TREE Experiential Center (home to Summer Camp and "Camp Waban"); and SecureRMS, a nationally-certified document destruction company that creates jobs for individuals with disabilities and channels all proceeds into our programs. Over the course of one year, Waban will provide services to over 3,200 individuals. Waban 2019 GOALS As a mission-driven organization, Waban has always strived to balance many multiple competing priorities. Historically that has been focused on the dynamic tension between providing essential services and adequate funding. is work, and our 50-year history, has not occurred in a vacuum, and has required continual self- evaluation, evolution on many fronts and an unbending desire and will to improve the lives of children and adults with autism, intellectual and other disabilities. Continuing to embrace Member Care, Driven Program Integrity, Managing and Developing Staff , and Facility Management into our processes, procedures, daily deeds and every day conver- sations and activities will continue to be a major focus moving forward. rough our eff orts, we will have the opportunity to have programs that meet the needs of the people we serve, are stable and fi nancially viable and provide our staff with the resources and security that they need both professionally and personally. By doing so, we will be fulfi lling our commitment of hope and promise that we provide to all the children, adults and families that we support. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES Waban's signature fundraising event is the Annual Waban Telethon. Held the third Saturday in March, the 2019 event will be our 48th Annual Telethon to ben- efi t Waban's Children's Programs including the Fraser-Ford Child Development Center and Children's Case Management. Live-streamed online and televised in Maine and New Hampshire, the event features musicians, dancers and other live entertainment as well as food, raffl es and dozens of gift items. Tee Up & Drive Golf Tournament – Held annually in September at the award- winning Sanford Country Club, the proceeds from this tournament support Waban's Special Olympian athletes and enable them to participate in the Special Olympics.
