Our mission is to enrich the quality of community and personal life in Maine by strengthening the leadership, voice and organizational effectiveness of our state's nonprofits. SERVICE LOCATION(S) Statewide Maine Association of Nonprofits 2019 GOALS Maine nonprofits are integral to Maine's economy and quality of life. By strengthening the capacity, connections and cross-sector influence of these organizations, MANP is playing a key leadership role in helping shape a pros- perous future for the state. To ensure that Maine nonprofits are prepared to contribute, adapt and thrive in our fast-changing world, MANP is building the capacity of new and existing members, developing and deepening relationships among them, and strength- ening the sector's partnership with the private and public sectors. In 2019, MANP will be focused on the following: f Increase the capacity of more Maine nonprofits to advance their missions. f Grow and strengthen connections between Maine nonprofits. f Foster relationships among the nonprofit, public and private sectors, so Maine nonprofits are valued as influential and effective partners in address- ing the challenges facing Maine's future prosperity. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/OPPORTUNITIES roughout the year, MANP provides opportunities to sponsor events and publications that attract nonprofit, business and governmental leaders state- wide, including an annual Nonprofit Finance Conference and semi-annual Executive Leadership Forums. Limited exhibitor space may also available. Corporate and private donors can help Maine nonprofits gain access to MANP's professional and leadership development programs by contributing to the MANP Scholarship Fund and BRIDGE Program (through which businesses sponsor their nonprofit clients' memberships). GIVING OPPORTUNITIES Businesses and individuals may join MANP as a "Friend of MANP" starting at $100 per year. MANP also works with business partners who are willing to provide discounted or free services to our members in exchange for becoming a "Friend of MANP." MANP's Friends and Sponsors enjoy valuable marketing exposure and networking opportunities while supporting programs and services that help our state's mission-focused organizations operate more effectively. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Many of MANP's management and leadership development programs are taught by volunteer content experts from all around the state. MANP is always looking to expand its current roster of subject matter experts to provide training and other resources on topics of interest to nonprofit leaders. In addition, we also appreciate any pro bono assistance from businesses willing to donate their time and expertise in answering nonprofit management questions that come to our Nonprofit Help Desk.
