The Center is an oasis of loving support in
Southern Maine for children, teens, their
families, and others experiencing loss, grief,
and life-impacting illness. Participants
benefit from free Peer Support Programs
for as long as needed: Tender Living
Care serves families from the point of
diagnosis through their journey with illness;
Bereavement provides grief support for
children, teens, their parents and caregivers,
young adults, bereaved parents, and widows/
widowers/partners; and Intercultural, in
partnership with Portland and So. Portland
Public Schools, creates healing communities
for children and teens resettled in Maine
from countries affected by war, violent
conflict, and natural disaster.
