Founded in 1952 by George W Whelen in his garage in Deep River, Connecticut, Whelen now encom- passes two state-of-the-art facilities in Connecticut and New Hampshire. Whelen has the largest design staff in the industry and over 1,500 em- ployees, all dedicated to producing products that people count on when lives are on the line. Whelen's 435,000 square foot Charlestown, New Hampshire facility is where some of the most innovative production processes take place. Here you will find the PCB shop, the first entirely "green" Printed Circuit Board manufacturing facility in the world with zero haz- ardous emissions. Whelen is proud to work with local school districts to boost interest in manufacturing in young people.
