MaineGeneral Surgery in Augusta hired Joshua Gillis to provide plastic and reconstructive surgery at both the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta and the Thayer Center for Health in Waterville. Gillis recently completed a hand and microsurgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Hospice Volunteers of Somerset County hired Amy Cunningham as community outreach coordinator. CES Inc., a firm of engineers, environ- mental scientists and land surveyors in Brewer, hired Philip Badger as senior project engineer and master electrician. Badger has 28 years of hands-on electri- cal work, electrical design experience and project leadership. The Maine Community Foundation in Ellsworth hired Elena Sulima as controller. Sulima was previously with Hollywood Casino Hotel and Raceway in Bangor. DMM Inc., a document solutions com- pany in Scarborough, hired Rich Heuer as CFO. Heuer was previously CFO and COO at NEPS Inc., a communications software management provider. Diversified Communications, an inter- national media company in Portland, hired Joel Hatfield as an operations coordinator. Hatfield was previously a support expert at Certify. NH Bragg, an indus- trial equipment supplier in Bangor, hired Andy Fitzpatrick as business devel- opment manager. Fitzpatrick has 20 years of manufactur- ing, engineering, front line supervision and executive management experience. Mercy Hospital in Portland hired David Fernandez as vice president of physician practices. Fernandez was vice president of oncol- ogy and imaging services at Summit Medical Group in New Jersey.
