in children, teens and young adults.
It began as a dialogue in the board room at Fidelity Bank in 2003
and has grown into an energized and ever-growing conversa on
that seeks to sha er the s gma surrounding mental illness. We're
doing this by sharing factual and evidence-based informa on that
sheds light on the reality of mental illness, its causes, signs, symp-
toms, and treatments.
And among our greatest allies in this effort are the very people
who are central to our mission – young people, their families and
other caregivers.
Since 2012, The SHINE Ini a ve has par cipated in more than
200 (and coun ng) classroom presenta ons, forums, health
fairs and conferences, and has reached audiences of 30,000
(and coun ng) youth and adults.
