Enhance our collaborations and partnership ventures to strengthen the mission of the organization and the quality of patient services, and explore strategic partnerships to implement payment reform and Accountable Care Organizations. Donations from the Greater Worcester community help Family Health Center of Worcester provide quality health care for more than 35,000 patients annually in 55 languages at 16 locations. Each spring Family Health Center hosts a signature art auction fundraiser, Art in the City. The event includes original artwork donated by dozens of local artists, corporate sponsors, a live auction and a silent auction. Please visit www.ArtInTheCity.org for more information. Family Health Center hosts a Neighborhood Health Fair in celebration of National Health Center Week each August. Family Health Center of Worcester offers unpaid internships for college students, adults and working professionals in a variety of areas throughout the health center. Family Health Center's volunteer Board of Directors and committees are comprised of 51% patients/ clients of the health center and 49% community volunteers. Additional volunteer opportunities include serving as a member of the Art in the City Planning Committee or as a volunteer at the Annual Neighborhood Health Fair. Family Health Center of Worcester relies on the generosity and support of the local community to fund critical health services for low-income uninsured and underinsured families. Individual and corporate contributions to our annual holiday appeal help to directly support the health and well-being of our entire community. Family Health Center also accepts donations of new items for our low-income, homeless or refugee patients, including personal hygiene supplies (e.g., soaps, razors, shampoo), baby blankets, bottles for newborns and cold weather garments.
