KIMBERLY COWAN is the new director of nursing at Recovery Centers of America's facility in Westminster. Cowan, who previously worked for Acadia Healthcare, is responsible for directing, planning and coordinating the activities of all nursing personnel on staff at RCA. LYNN OAKS is the new human resources manager at Oriol Health Care in Holden. Oaks, of Hubbardston, has been in human resources management for 20 years and has a bachelor's degree in business administration for human relations management. JOAN BERTRAND of Sterling, who is the vice president of human resources at AdCare Hospital in Worcester, is the new president and chairwoman of the Girl Scouts of Central & Western Massachusetts. Also appointed to the board: JENNIFER JOHNSON of Auburn, a registered nurse and clinical director for CareScout. OLIVER JOSEPH has joined Alternatives and The Bridge, two agencies that provide services to adults with developmental or psychiatric disabilities with locations in Leominster, Milford, Whitinsville, Worcester and Wrentham. Joseph will provide consultation to the Central Community Health Partnership, with which Alternatives and The Bridge are partners. Two former executives have returned to Worcester insurance firm Fallon Health after several years away from the company. CAROLYN LANGER, who was the medical director at Fallon Health from 2005 to 2008, has returned to take on the role of chief medical officer. Langer most recently served as chief medical officer and director of clinical affairs at MassHealth, and held previous roles with Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Tufts Health Care and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. MARY RITTER, a former chief operating officer, chief strategy officer, and senior vice president, has rejoined the company as senior vice president of strategy and business development. Ritter most recently owned and operated Worcester-based Maywood Consulting. OLGA CERON has joined Reliant Medical Group's department of ophthalmology and is welcoming new patients at Reliant's Gold Star Boulevard office in Worcester. Ceron received her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and a fellowship at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary. KATHY CHRISMER has joined Reliant Medical Group's department of pediatrics and is welcoming new patients at its Holden office. Chrismer previously practiced for 10 years at Holden Pediatrics. She received her medical degree and completed her internship and residency at the University of Rochester.
