Day Pitney co-sponsors affinity bar mixer in Hartford Hartford law firm Day Pitney LLP co-sponsored an affinity bar mixer along with the South Asian Bar Association of Connecticut, Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association, Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association, Crawford Black Bar Association and the Lawyers' Collaborative for Diversity. The event, held at Day Pitney's Hartford office, brought together 85 attendees from these organizations as well as from the Connecticut Bar Association and the Hartford County Bar Association. Cowen Tax Advisory Group celebrates 40 years The Cowen Tax Advisory Group in West Hartford recently held its 40th anniversary celebration. The event at the Aqua Turf Club drew more than 450 guests and included a 70's theme to honor the year the firm was founded. The Cowen Group has been serving clients in the Hartford area since 1978. OF NOTE The Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities/ Connecticut Center for Assisted Living recently honored Mark Finkelstein with its 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award. Finkelstein, a 53-year professional in the healthcare field, is the recently retired administrator and vice president of Hughes Health & Rehabilitation in West Hartford. TD Charitable Foundation supports Klingberg Family Centers The TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, recently donated $10,000 to Klingberg Family Centers in New Britain. The funds will be used to support vocational education at Raymond Hill School, a special education school that offers students an opportunity to explore and discover their skills.
