Trinity is eligible to apply for further funds total- ling up to 20 percent of the project cost. Hologic to lay off 35 NY workers, move production to Marlborough Marlborough medical device firm Hologic is closing a subsidiary's New York manufacturing facility and laying off 35 employees. Production of the company's Cyno- sure facility in Hicksville, N.Y. will be transferred to locations in Marlborough and Costa Rica when the facility closes in January, Hologic spokesperson Jane Mazur said in an email. Inc. 5000 honors 16 Central Mass. firms A total of 16 Central Massachusetts companies made Inc. 5000's 2018 list of the 5,000 fastest growing U.S. firms. e Central Mass. contingent on this year's list is led by Maynard small business insurance agency Insurance- bee, which checked in at No. 898 with a 553-percent three- year growth rate and $2.5 million in 2017 revenue. Sneaking into the top 1,000 was Framingham healthcare data firm Definitive Healthcare, which grew at a 508-percent clip. Framingham video game developers Disruptor Beam claimed third place in Central Massa- chusetts, taking in $29 million in 2017 for a growth rate of 309 percent. Reporting the largest revenue was Acton semiconductor and server prod- uct distributor Phoenics Electronics reporting $134.6 million, which grew 120 percent over three years.
