No, the company isn't trying to seemingly take over the world by having its hand in what seems to be every industry. Quiet Logistics' 500,000-square-foot main warehouse in Devens ships more than 100 million items each year for retailers like Away, Bombfell and Bonobos, even doing quick next- morning delivery in some areas – before Amazon Prime was even around to do it. Much of the operations are computer controlled, as shelves placed on top of little robots move around the giant space to bring items directly to the person who will be packaging a box for shipping, a process five times faster than humans could do. Quiet Logistics has soared under Lemerise's leadership, having grown its capacity tenfold and shipping more than $1 billion worth of orders each year. The company has grown past 500 employees, a number more than doubling each holiday season. Lemerise has been active with Minute Man Arc, a Concord social service agency for children and adults with disabilities. Lemerise is the president of Minute Man Arc's board, and he's helped dozens of area residents with autism, Down syndrome or other physical and intellectual disabilities land jobs at Quiet Logistics and elsewhere. – G.W. From judge Milka Njoroge: "Brian is an inspiration and a role model from humble beginnings to success. Success means investing in the community to create opportunities for all irrespective of disabilities." When they build a statue of you, what will the inscription say? Be passionate about your faith, family and community. Whose career would you most like to emulate? Jeff Bezos. We share an obsession with advancing customer experiences, the capabilities of our people and philanthropy. Brian Lemerise, 36 President Quiet Logistics, Inc., Devens Lives: Northborough Birthplace: Worcester College: Worcester State University Becker College is in the midst of an expansion, adding new schools and majors to attract a shrinking national applicant pool. Right in the middle is Furi-Perry, who was hired last September as assistant dean of Becker College's School of Nursing & Behavioral Sciences. She's since risen to dean of the School of Humanities & Social Sciences and this summer was named the interim dean of a new school at Becker, the School of Graduate & Professional Studies. Furi-Perry is helping put in place a new exploratory program letting students experience a taste 10 majors on campus, like a sampler plate, before declaring a major. As a lawyer, Furi-Perry doesn't just teach in the classroom. She's written 14 books on legal issues, including two that were written for children: "Constitutional Law For Kids," and a Spanish version. She's spoken at events for the Massachusetts Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is scheduled to speak at the U.S. District Court's Eighth Circuit Judicial Conference in Iowa this month. Furi-Perry is the president of a middle school parent-teacher organization in her hometown of Andover, where her three boys attend class. – G.W. From judge Kate Sharry: "Ursula is using her knowledge, experience and creativity to meet the needs of the students of Becker. She pays it forward in so many different ways." Were you a straight-A student? I was pretty close! Graduated third in my high school and first in law school. What movie character is most like you? Erin Brockovich. She was tenacious and smart, had great shoes, and handled her business as a mom and as a legal professional. Ursula Furi-Perry, J.D., 38 Dean of School of Humanities & Social Sciences, and interim dean of School of Graduate & Professional Studies Becker College, Worcester Lives: Andover Birthplace: Budapest, Hungary Colleges: Brandeis University, Massachusetts School of Law
