www.HartfordBusiness.com • August 6, 2018 • Hartford Business Journal 17 M organ Sones Ferrarotti is currently the senior director of integrated market- ing at MassMutual, where she leads integrated marketing campaign planning at the enterprise level to ensure brand and customer experience consistency. Prior to her current role, Ferrarotti was an inte- grated marketing director at Aetna, where she was head of agency management, head of the enterprise sponsorship strategy, and led cross-functional, com- plex enterprise projects. Ferrarotti also spent 11 years at The Hartford Financial Services Group, where she held roles in brand marketing and strategy, advertising, sports marketing, event planning, corporate communications, media relations and community investments. What's been the biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career? At The Hartford, I received a Chairman's Award for my role in leading the company's Achieve Without Limits campaign with an amaz- ing team of colleagues. This campaign celebrated the U.S. Paralympians and their journey to the 2012 London Games. These incredible athletes, who have overcome major challenges and ad- versity, still inspire me every day. Being able to experience the games in London as part of this campaign was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. How are you involved in the community? I focus my volunteer time on my passions: domestic violence (DV) awareness, homeless- ness and the empowerment of young women's education. I am on the board of Sarah Speaks Up supporting domestic violence victims, teach communications at the Charter Oak Cultural Center's BOTS Center for Creative Learning supporting the homeless population, and am a Junior League of Greater Hartford member. What do you hope Greater Hartford will be like in 10 years? In 10 years, I hope Greater Hartford will have many opportunities to become a destination to attract young talent who will do their part to contribute to the vibrancy, rich history and culture that the area has to offer. Four reasons why you deserve to be a 40 Under Forty: • As a domestic violence survivor, I've made a commitment to help others in the commu- nity to find their way out of difficult circum- stances. • Developed and created best-in-class work approaches and processes over my career that my Fortune 100 company employers have adopted and still leverage. • Received First 100 Award for domestic vio- lence awareness from CT Coalition Against Domestic Violence. • By pursuing different master's degrees and be- ing a published author, I've had a strong com- mitment to education and mentoring young students and professionals. Fun Fact I am a huge foodie and have a Connecticut restaurant bucket list.
