Simsbury Bank sponsors police cadet scholarships Simsbury Bank recently sponsored the Simsbury Police Cadet program with a $4,000 contribution. The Simsbury cadet program consists of about a dozen students between the ages of 14 and 20 who are interested in pursuing careers in law enforcement. Pictured are James Fleming, a Simsbury Bank board member along with local police officials and cadets. United Bank debuts downtown branch, donates to Boys & Girls Club Joined by Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin, customers and other local dignitaries, United Bank CEO and President William H.W. Crawford, and the United Bank team officially cut the ribbon on its newest branch location at CityPlace II in Hartford's central business district. In addition to the ribbon cutting, the United Bank Foundation also donated $1,500 to the Boys & Girls Club of Hartford. Connecticut Public celebrates women in media Connecticut Public recently hosted a Women's leadership celebration honoring women in media. During the event Teresa Younger, president and CEO of Ms. Foundation for Women, was honored with the Voices Leadership Award. In addition, the Carla Squatrito Scholarship Award was presented to Selena Norton of Bristol.
