Simsbury Chamber
of Commerce hosts
outdoor garden party
The Simsbury Chamber of Commerce
attracted over 100 guests at its most
recent fundraiser for the Simsbury
Art Trail exhibit. The Garden Party
celebrated the success of the town's
first-ever public art trail and the
attention that has been generated by
the 32 lifelike sculptures displayed
throughout Simsbury since its
installation last month.
LAZ Parking employees
participate in JA in a Day
The LAZ Parking Hartford office
recently participated in Junior
Achievement's JA in a Day at
Washington Street School in
Hartford. Twenty-one LAZ employees
volunteered to spend a day with a
group of elementary school students
in their classrooms, providing lessons
and activities that prepare them for
their future roles in the workplace.
Bob's donates to Nutmeg
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters recently accepted a
$10,000 donation from the Bob's Discount Furniture
Charitable Foundation. The donation will be used to
transition children in need off Nutmeg's statewide
waiting list and into mentoring relationships with adult
