Barton is an attorney with Day Pitney LLP, and has more than 25 years experience in land-use litigation, permitting and consulting. Her term runs from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2020. Tiffany A. Williams joined the Glastonbury office of MahoneySabol as a supervisor in the audit department. Williams will be responsible for managing the audit fieldwork for clients and training staff. She previously held a position at a national accounting firm for seven years. Christopher Cusano has been named executive director of The Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance Inc. Cusano, previously the nonprofit's board chairman, replaces outgoing executive Kimberly Roy-Canning, who accepted a position as the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation's Northeast chapter director. Eleven business and financial leaders were appointed to Connecticut Children's Medical Center Foundation's board of directors. New board members include Jeffrey P. Klenk, Daryl L. Jackson, Geno Auriemma, Christine E. Bromberg, Shari G. Cantor, James H. Eacott III, Michael A. Fish, Joyce A. Lagnese, Edward "Ed' Lewis, Daryl P. Richard and Matthew A. Somberg. The Connecticut League of Conservation Voters made two new hires, with Joshua Claudio as director of development and Amanda Schoen as director of communications. Claudio has more than a decade of experience managing annual giving and donor relations programs, and most recently served as the national director of annual giving at Students Against Destructive Decisions. Schoen previously served as press secretary for U.S. Congressman John B. Larson and as communications director for U.S. Congressman Mike Thompson, in addition to consulting work for local, state and national campaigns. Stacy D. Pedersen has been hired as director of financial operations and human resources at Northstar Wealth Partners. Before joining Northstar, Pedersen served as senior accountant and benefits coordinator for American Nuclear Insurers. Prior to that she was affiliated with H & R Block as a tax specialist. Scott Burns has been named vice president of professional lines of Massachusetts-based XS Brokers' Hartford office. Burns' previous experience includes brokering insurance operations and work as a financial analyst and consultant. He comes to XSB from facilities company Tennant Risk Services. Jeffrey P.
